Strengthening Emergency Response Capabilities through Animal Rescue Training

The Panvel Municipal Corporation organized a 2-day animal and bird rescue training workshop for Fire Department personnel, part of its efforts to enhance emergency response capabilities.

Key objectives of the workshop included providing safe rescue methods, observing animal behavior, and preventing zoonotic diseases like rabies.

Dr. Shashikant Jadhav and Dr. Ashwin Sushilan from Mission Rabies led the training as part of the Zero Rabies Elimination Program.

The workshop was held on April 28 and 29 at the Adya Krantikarak Vasudev Balwant Phadke Natya Mandir in Panvel.
